Privacy & Cookies
Last updated: 2025
This site is a personal project where I write about pay per call marketing, share what I've learned running Ringba, and occasionally invite readers to sign up for updates. I take the privacy of anyone who visits or subscribes seriously, and this page lays out exactly what happens with your information. No legal jargon maze, just a straight explanation.
What Information I Collect
When you fill out a form on this site, whether it's to subscribe to my newsletter or to get in touch, I collect what you actually type into that form. That typically means your first name and your email address. I don't ask for more than I need, and I don't collect anything through those forms beyond what's visible in the fields.
I also use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how people find and use this site. That means cookies and similar tracking technologies get dropped in your browser to measure things like which pages get read, how visitors arrive here, and general traffic patterns. This data is aggregated and anonymized in the way Google Analytics presents it to me. I'm not personally sitting there matching your name to your browsing session.
How I Use Your Information
If you give me your email and name through a form on this site, here's what I do with it:
- I send you the newsletter or updates you signed up for.
- I may send occasional marketing emails about things related to Ringba or pay per call topics I think you'd find useful.
- If you contacted me directly through a form, I use your information to respond to whatever you asked or said.
That's it. I'm not building a shadow profile on you or feeding your details into some data-mining operation.
I Don't Sell Your Data
I don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. Full stop. If that ever changed, which I don't anticipate, this policy would be updated to say so clearly before anything happened.
Cookies and Analytics
Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymized usage data. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, and you can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking using tools like Google's own browser add-on. Blocking cookies won't prevent you from reading the site, though it does mean I get less useful data about how the site is being used, which is fine by me.
Unsubscribing
Every marketing or newsletter email I send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it, and you're out, no hoops to jump through, no guilt trip. If for some reason that link isn't working, reach out through the contact form on this site and I'll remove you manually.
How Long I Keep Your Data
I keep your email and name for as long as you're subscribed or until you ask me to delete it. If you unsubscribe, I retain minimal records long enough to honor that request and keep my systems clean, then the data is removed from active use over time.
Your Privacy Rights
If you're a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you the right to know what personal information I've collected about you, to request deletion of that information, and to opt out of any sale of personal information (which, again, I don't do). Depending on where you live, you may have similar rights under other privacy laws. To exercise any of these rights, use the contact form on this site and let me know what you're requesting. I'll respond and handle it directly.
Getting in Touch
If you have questions about this policy or want to make a request about your data, the way to reach me is through the contact form on this site. I read these myself.
